Your Small Dog's Pet Health Plan
We all know that your dog is more than just a pet. They are part of your family and your best friend which is why it is so important to protect them against a range of infectious diseases and parasites that can have serious impacts on their health and welfare.
What Is Included?*
All dogs should be treated as individuals when determining the appropriate vaccinations for them, however the ‘core’ canine vaccines to protect your pooch are CDV, CPV, CAV and Leptospira. These diseases can cause canine distemper, parvovirus infection, infectious canine hepatitis and leptospirosis, so it is essential to protect your dog against these severe and life-threatening diseases.
Small dog breeds, like the Jack Russell, Bichon Frise and the Chihuahua, require preventative care to keep them happy and healthy. Your small breed puppy will require their initial vaccination course and top up vaccinations each year.
You should also protect your dog with regular parasite treatments (including flea and worm treatments) and ensure they are microchipped in accordance with UK Law.
All of these treatments listed above are included in your Small Dog Pet Health Plan as a part of Vetsure’s core benefits**. Your local practice may also include a range of additional benefits such as complimentary claw clipping and discounts to other services.
