Pet Health Plans can be purchased online or over the telephone. 

If you wish to purchase your Health Plan online, please click here. It’s simple and takes only a few minutes to complete. Firstly, select your local vet practice, fill out your details and your pet’s name and age. You will then be able to see the Health Plan offered by your vet, and a breakdown of the cost. You can set your direct debit up online too, meaning your Health Plan will be active the moment it is set up! Please note that a £5 set up fee is added to your first monthly payment which will be displayed for you. 

If you would prefer to speak to one of our friendly customer service team members to help you set up your Pet Health Plan, then please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 0800 050 2022. Our team will be able to take you through the process smoothly, having your Health Plan set up swiftly the same day!

If you would like to book an appointment for your pet to receive treatment that is included in your Pet Health Plan, then please contact your vet practice to arrange this.

To update your details you would need to contact our customer service team at Vetsure who will be able to update your details over the phone. Please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0800 050 2022, or fill out our contact form here.

First you will need to check if your chosen practice offers Vetsure Direct. You can search for your desired practice here. If your practice is displaying the Vetsure Direct symbol, then you will be able to add Vetsure Direct delivery when you purchase your Pet Health Plan. 

If you are already signed up to a Health Plan at a vet practice that offers Vetsure Direct, but you are not yet using that service, please get in touch with us and we will be able to set that up for you! Payments for Pet Health Plans are taken via monthly direct debits which are set up at the point of purchase. Your initial monthly payment will include a £5 set up fee, and the remaining payments will return to the set price set by your vet.

A pet insurance policy helps to provide your pet with cover against unexpected accidents, like a broken leg, or an illness such as diabetes or arthritis. Whereas your Pet Health Plan handles preventative care like flea treatments and annual vaccinations. These two products can work together ensuring your pet is covered whatever happens! This way you will be caring for the best of health and covering for the worst. Additionally, if you already have a Pet Health Plan for your pet, you can receive a 5% discount if you take out a Vetsure Pet Insurance Policy for the named pet.

Your pet’s weight will determine the category they fall into. Dogs will be categorised into either small, medium, large or extra-large, which is based on their adult weight. If you have a puppy and want to take out a Pet Health Plan for them, then you will be charged based on their expected adult weight once they are fully grown. This is done as larger dogs, such as Dobermans, will need a higher dosage of treatment, whereas a smaller breed, like a Jack Russel Terrier, will need a smaller dosage.

The size of your dog is measured by their expected adult weight. The size chart is outlined below:

Small Dog – 0-10kg

Medium Dog – 10-20kg 

Large Dog – 20-40kg

Extra Large Dog – 40kg+

To participate in the Vetsure Pet Health Plan scheme each practice must include a pre-determined selection of core benefits but they are then able to determine what additional benefits they might like to offer. As a result, the overall array of benefits included in your Pet Health Plan may differ from those included by other practices.
